Meet our Team

Pastor Shannon is our Lead Pastor. He holds a THD from Southern Bible Institute and Seminary.  Shannon and his wife, Rhonda began their ministry here at Gillsville Church in 2014. They are blessed to have 2 wonderful grown daughters, a great son-in-law and 3 incredible grandsons! Pastor Shannon loves to read, baseball, UGA football and golf but most importantly he loves to tell people about Jesus!

Dylan has served as the Student & Associate Pastor at GBC since February 2023. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has been married to his wife, Taylor, since 2021. They are excited to grow their family, as they plan to welcome their first daughter in July! Dylan loves serving at Gillsville and would be happy to connect with you and answer any questions you might have. 

Jessica serves as the Children's Ministry Director at GBC. She and her husband, Jamison, have been members of the Gillsville community for years and currently live in Lula with their four children. Jessica has been a member at Gillsville Baptist for close to ten years and, along with her position as Children's Director, also teaches the Kindergarten class at our preschool. She would love answer any questions you may have about all of the exciting things happening at Gillsville Kids!

Kasey is the Nursery Director and Weekday Preschool Director at GBC. She is a Banks County resident and member at GBC with her husband and two sons Branch (4) and Briggs (2). Kasey has a Bachelors of Science in Education from UGA and taught middle school grades Agricultural Education for 8 years. She says, "it really is a true blessing to be a part of a preschool where we get to cultivate an environment that shares the love of Jesus and that your children enjoy coming to everyday." 

Tondra serves as the Director of Missions and Outreach for GBC. She and her husband, Rob, have been members of GBC for over 30 years. Together, they have four children, two daughters-in-law, and three precious grandchildren, Jones, Seaton, and Jozie. All the Boswell family attend and serve here at GBC. Tondra enjoys watching her children play sports, spending quality time with her family and serving and sharing Christ through our GEM Ministry. 

Greg has faithfully served as Worship Director at GBC for many years. He and his wife, Lynn, are legacy members at GBC. Together, they have three children and many, wonderful grandchildren. Greg's heart for the Lord is reflected through the lively and authentic worship experience he has created at GBC. Jessica is the director at Gillsville Baptist's new Christian Academy. She holds a Bachelors of Early Childhood Education from UNG and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from VSU. Jessica has been married to her husband, Brett, since 2019, and they welcomed a baby girl in February. Jessica and her husband have been members at GBC since 2023. Carly is our secretary at GBC. She has been a member for over 20 years and started working at GBC in 2020. Carly has been married to her husband, Nolan, for 7 years. They have 3 daughters, Collins, Nora and Caris. GBC has always been “home” for Carly and her family. She says, "we are blessed to be a part of what God is doing through our church."
